Robertsbridge Age Concern Club

Robertsbridge Age Concern Club run by local volunteers meets every Monday. except Bank Holidays, at 10.30 a.m. in Robertsbridge Hall. After tea or coffee and conversation among friends, a trained expert conducts beneficial seated exercises, but these are in no way compulsory.

An excellent lunch comes at about 12.15, sometimes cooked at home by helpers. A twenty pence raffle is followed by a cup of tea while members enjoy a game of cards, Scrabble or Trionimos and others prefer craft work such as basketry. Some even just sit and chat. Occasionally there is a Bingo session or an entertainer.

In the summer coach outings to Eastbourne, Bewl Water , Burwash and similar places are a regular feature. On these occasions the meeting time may vary. There are no age limits - over or under - and no joining fee but a charge of £3.00, is made for the lunch and beverages The atmosphere is friendly and helpful and transport is available where there is a need.
